Buy through a competition

Our category teams are focused on developing robust strategies, adopting the most appropriate route to market to maximise leverage across price, quality and time. Depending on the strategy and the market there are multiple procurement routes that are supported through the use of our suite of fully managed eEnablement tools.

Further competition

Where there is a requirement for additional specifications to be defined before a definitive price can be agreed a central contract has been provided through the use of a framework agreement, allowing you to procure specific products or services through a pre-determined set of suppliers. This allows efficiencies through reducing procurement timelines and reducing the risk of supply through the use of a consistent, robust set of terms and conditions.

The management of a further competition can be provided either as a managed service by our spot buy team or by your own procurement team through a further competition event in the eSourcing suite.

Low value open competition

Where there is a requirement below the OJEU threshold we advise the use of Dynamic Marketplace, allowing you to procure specific products or services from the open market.  This promotes competition allowing all registered suppliers to respond to an opportunity, in support of the Government's agenda to increase expenditure with SMEs and promote economic growth.

The management of a low value open competition can be provided either as a managed service by our spot buy team or can be managed by your own procurement team through a Request for Quote in the Dynamic Marketplace.

eAuction

eAuctions are an ideal procurement route where the aggregation of volumes can affect market prices and greatly reduce the purchase price for buyers. Our eAuction programme has been specifically designed to address the Government’s requirements for the centralised procurement of commoditised goods and services. It will help you deliver real savings using a well proven procurement technique, based on secure internet-based technology, which will deliver cashable cost reductions quickly whilst protecting quality and service levels.
